Far away from the concrete and the crowds of sprawling urban areas, many parts of rural China continue to offer spectacular natural landscapes, dotted with isolated villages that continue to exist in a way that has remained fundamentally unchanged for many hundreds of years.

Trek through the rice terraces of the Dragons Backbone in Long Shen, rock climb and kayak in the Li River Valley of Yangshuo / Xingping, cycle and horse pack in Yunnan Province, explore the silk road and many archeological sites in the Tianshan Mountains of Xinjiang Province, there are many possibilities to explore in this exciting country.

Chinas’ complex population mix, which includes many ethnic groups and minorities, gives an ideal opportunity for cultural learning. This is further enhanced by the remote locations visited on our trips.
